When I was packing my uniform to get ready for my next In-camp-training, you saw and asked me when will I be going back to be a soldier. I told you that it will be 11 May before I am required to go back for National Service. You responded quite surprisingly that I should go earlier, this was so unlike you as you always preferred me to be around at home rather than away.
When I asked you why, you replied that I need to "保家卫国" as that is the role of a soldier. Apparently, you were putting your knowledge you gained from the Chinese books mommy bought you to good application.
