It's was teacher Isabel's birthday on 15 March 09. When told of the birthday surprise we planned for teacher Isabel, Xiao Zhuang responded with much eagerness and enthusiasm. We were responsible for getting a birthday card and I was to make it "larger" with some attachment so that the children can scribble on it. While making this enlargement of the card, Xiao Zhuang said she also want to make "something". The "something" turned out to be a "book", which she made using strips of access paper, double-sided tape, pictures cut from some magazines and "stuck" together.
She presented her present to teacher Isabel with much pride and her mommy was jealous that Xiao Zhuang gave her first "self-initiated" creative artpiece to someone other than her daddy & mommy.
It was great initiative and creation, that's my good girl!
