Xiao Zhuang and the EarthWorms
One fine afternoon, the sun was shining up in the sky while a cool breeze blew across the land. Xiao Zhuang was taking a walk with daddy and mommy in the park.
During the walk, Xiao Zhuang came to a small patch of soil and was intrigued to see earthworms busy digging the soil. Daddy told her that earthworms made the soil their homes, and because of their digging, the soil is good for plants to grow.
"Then these earthworms are good creatures!" exclaimed Xiao Zhuang.
Just at this moment, a black crow came sweeping to the ground, in an attempt to eat the earthworms!
Xiao Zhuang turned around and block the crow from reaching the earthworms, shooing it away with some shouts at the same time.
The crow was scared and flew away in a disappointment.
Daddy and mommy saw this whole incident and felt proud of Xiao Zhuang's bravery. "Our little one, you are so brave and courageous, we are proud of what you did."
With a smile of self-pride on her face, Xiao Zhuang turned back to look at the earthworms, "One, two, three... nine, ten! There are altogether 10 earthworms here." she said happily.
